Responsibilities

The Client Executive Role

The Client Executive focuses on business development with healthcare organizations including health plans, hospitals, medical groups, providers and accountable care organizations, and identifies growth opportunities with existing and new client relationships.  Reporting to the Client Solutions Leader and in coordination with the Client Executive team, Engagement Managers and consultants, the Client Executive plans and pursues business development opportunities; leads the opportunity development process; and confirms the breadth and design of the engagement. 

 

The Client Executive manages and develops C-level client relationships by becoming a trusted advisor and primary point of contact for business development.  The Client Executive strives to develop connections that go beyond any specific engagement with the goal of preserving and growing permanent relationships.  Working side by side with other Freed leaders and staff, the Client Executive oversees project outcomes, and ensures client satisfaction and nurturing of Freed’s reputation and values.

Qualifications

Desired Candidate Characteristics

The successful candidate will be viewed as a leader and team player. This person will have a solid history of selling consulting engagements to health plans and/or healthcare provider type organizations and can substantiate a portable book of business. Engaging and passionate about making a difference, the Client Executive engenders positive thinking, sees outside the box and his or her comfort zone, and has ability to recognize, acknowledge and build upon a variety of perspectives. A quick thinking, versatile problem solver, the Client Executive is able to synthesize information and assess situations in order to make recommendations and identify next steps. A clear communicator and active listener, the Client Executive demonstrates respect of others, integrity, and candor. 

 

This person is able to establish and build relationships both internally and externally.  The Client Executive is viewed as a mentor; is sensitive to consultant job satisfaction, growth and career path and is viewed as a sounding board for career challenges and desires.

 

Education, Training and Experience

  • Extensive experience and an established network of executives from healthcare provider and/or health plan organizations in Northern California including Sacramento.
  • Demonstrated track record of succeeding as the primary client contact for sales, and fostering existing client expansion at the C-level.
  • 10-15 years of related experience in healthcare consulting, hospital and medical group management and/or healthcare operations.
  • Experience in management consulting, project management and healthcare services at management level of a consultancy or corporation.   
  • Executive level organizational, planning and management writing skills; superior oral communication skills and the ability to lead and develop others.
  • Bachelor’s Degree required. Master’s Degree or equivalent education and training preferred.

 

Location

Position covers Northern California including Sacramento. Regional travel required.
