  • Overview

    We are seeking 1099 independent subcontractors to lead critical revenue cycle management improvement projects involving multidisciplinary teams (clinical, business and IT).  Ensure that projects are on time, on budget, and delivered with the highest quality. We are all about health care and these engagements may be with IDN, hospitals, outpatient and/or Health Plans. 


    Here’s a sample of the kind of work you will be doing for our clients: 

    • Complete revenue cycle assessments by reviewing current operations, conducting key interviews and reviewing data (management and operational reports, performance metrics and productivity measures, denials data) to identify high value opportunities for improvement.
    • Lead revenue cycle turnaround projects to improve cash collections, increase revenue and decrease accounts receivable days, working with front, middle, and backend departments.
    • Our consultants work with all revenue cycle departments as well as those heavily impacting revenue cycle performance.
    • Maximize the patient experience by improving Patient Access Service functions such as registration, scheduling, authorizations management and front-end collections.
    • Improve encounter management through partnerships with case management and utilization review teams, by driving clinical documentation improvement efforts, as well as through improvements in coding and HIM.
    • Improve Revenue Integrity activities to ensure the full capture of all charges and to maximize revenue.
    • Improve functions across the business office, from billing through denials management.
    • Develop detailed key performance indicators, tracking key metrics, with client executives to provide transparency and business intelligence to better manage the revenue cycle functions.
    • Lead clients in developing and tracking data analytics to insure departments are meeting or exceeding industry benchmarks.
    • Optimize revenue cycle processes for new value and risk-based initiatives. Develop training programs and procedures and train the client’s teams to ensure sustainable solutions.


    We are seeking motivated, talented independent subcontractors to work and collaborate on revenue management projects. We have found that people with these attributes tend to excel in these specialized roles:

    • Significant experience with all aspects of large cross-functional, transformational revenue cycle related projects in healthcare
    • Ability to produce and lead others to deliver high quality deliverables and timely results
    • Ability to flex and work with a team or individually to provide highly specialized and/or technical expertise
    • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
    • Experience and comfortable working at all levels of an organization, including physicians, nurses, other caregivers, executives, and management
    • Specialized and technical skills such as data analytics, data warehousing, software or database architecture
    • Experience with commonly used information systems such as Epic, Cerner, NextGen, McKesson, Meditech, Sharepoint, Salesforce or similar systems is a plus
    • A high degree of self-motivation, integrity, versatility and flexibility
    • Willingness to travel on the West Coast may be necessary based on client needs
    • Bachelor’s Degree required. Master’s Degree, RN or other clinical expertise, PMP and Lean Six Sigma Certifications are a plus
