  • Overview

    We are seeking independent subcontractors to lead critical revenue cycle analytics projects involving multidisciplinary teams (clinical, business and IT) with hospital and physician organizations, MSO’s and Health Plans. This position requires analytical skills, technical knowledge and experience related to revenue cycle reporting, data management, information systems implementation and auditing.



    Here’s a sample of the kind of work you might do for our clients: 

    • Collect, review and analyze complex sets of revenue cycle data, present results and insights to fiscal leadership in an easily understandable way for clients at all levels
    • Evaluate routine and ad hoc reporting for the Revenue Cycle departments to determine trends and issues with registration quality, charge capture, cash flow, physician billing and productivity, and patient billing data.
    • Experienced using leading EHR systems for registration, patient accounting, eligibility, billing, claims editing and account follow-up.
    • Prepare business case and ROI documentation for key decision makers
    • Perform revenue cycle system audits in the areas of charge capture, charge master reconciliation, registration and billing data integrity, system interfaces, and reconciliation of system transaction and errors.
    • Perform account sampling, audit claims and research billing and cash posting errors.
    • Support implementation of revenue cycle information systems and applications in lead roles for requirements definition, system testing and user training.
    • Preparing concise, formal documentation regarding methodology, functionality, and impact


    We are seeking motivated, talented independent subcontractors to work and collaborate on health care revenue cycle analytics projects. We have found that people with these attributes tend to excel in these specialized roles:

    • Significant experience with large data sets of raw health care financial data
    • Advanced skills with Tableau or PowerBI (or equivalent), Excel, PowerPoint
    • Ability to identify, design, and implement appropriate and effective visualizations
    • Possess comprehensive knowledge of all facets of accounts receivable activities, front-end registration/admitting procedures and ancillary charge capture
    • Significant experience with commonly used information systems such as Epic, Cerner, NextGen, McKesson
    • Knowledgeable in financial aspects of federal, state and insurance regulations governing billing practices, including in-depth knowledge of HIPAA regulations
    • Cost accounting and decision support system experience a plus
    • A high degree of self-motivation, integrity, versatility and flexibility
    • Willingness to travel on the West Coast based on client needs
    • Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree, RN or other clinical expertise, PMP and Lean Six Sigma Certifications are a plus
